Smaller but Smarter...

These days everyone is trying to squeeze more out of less. Home building trends are more focused on maximizing the potential of smaller spaces to reduce the use of energy, materials and of course save a few pennies. Attic space can be valuable real estate so when expanding into this usually wasted space consider the design below we found on Coastal Living's website. The space below a severly pitched roof is transformed into a fun sleeping nook complete with peek-a-boo portholes and priceless under bed storage making there no need for multiple dressers. A cozy concept to welcome the first days of fall. Enjoy!

An Artist's Palette...

Better Homes & Gardens has wonderful online photo galleries we click through daily to our hearts content. This image of a great contemporary kitchen was just waiting to be uncovered and has a stylish palette that could truly be the start to our next big project (which we should be able to announce in the next 3 months! - exciting!).

The typical contemporary black & white is warmed up with the addition of a periwinkle blue/olive pattern next to accents of gray and light wood tones and is a great palette for a unisex room. The cherry on top isn't cherry at all - it's orange! The energizing pop of orange on the stand mixer gives us the perfect opportunity to introduce some must-have orange accessories by a company we've been admiring lately. Pkolino designs children's products with top of the line functionality supporting a child's natural development while maintaining interesting and engaging style that kid's reach for as well as design-conscious parents. Enjoy their handy work below!

It's Good to Go, but it's Great to Come Home...

It's great to get away, but it's also great to come home! When visiting far away places, we always return with renewed pride in where we come from.

Today we'd like to feature a company that creates amazing pieces for nurseries that are eco-conscious and MADE IN AMERICA. Spot on Square takes children's design to the next level with their newest introduction, the Roh Crib, complete with durable half-inch, BPA free, phthalate free, 100% recyclable clear acrylic front giving your baby a spectacular view to the world.

Enjoy this swoon-worthy crib and a beautiful view from our travels.
